Important Notice – 11th May

11th May 2020

Dear Parent(s),

I hope this note finds you safe and healthy. You are all well used to the system that we have set up so I’m not going to repeat what you already know! I’d like to bring the following points to your attention.

  • All staff members would like to compliment the boys on the quality of work they are producing each week. We know that this isn’t easy boys but we are extremely proud of what you are doing and all we ever ask of you is that you do your best in all aspects of school life. A special mention too to all of our families (parents and guardians) who are experiencing so many different emotions right now and still pull out all the stops to ensure that their children are getting the work done or who are at least attempting the work. All of our staff members acknowledge your efforts and are here to support you.

  • Next Sunday, May 17th, was pencilled in to be First Communion Day for the C.B.S. boys. I’d like to highlight our communicants who are mainly in 2nd Class but we also have boys in other classes who were due to make their First Communion. You are in our thoughts this week in a special way boys. Your big day will be rearranged and it will be extra special when it does go ahead. As soon as we have further information on a date you will be the first to know.

  • I know that restrictions are still in place but I would just like to inform you that we will be introducing a new tracksuit for the new school year. It will be available in Hennessy Sport’s Shop before we return to school. I’d like to stress that if your son’s current school tracksuit still fits him then there is no need to buy the new school tracksuit. It is not compulsory to have the new tracksuit.

  • A word of thanks to Mrs. Ryan who organised our staff video which went out last week and to all staff members who contributed to it. I hope it put a smile on all of your faces! I’d like to thank all of the staff in our school who are working tirelessly in so many ways – preparing high quality work, monitoring pupils’ work, providing feedback, using Seesaw/Class Dojo to provide teaching points, touching in with families and much more. Staff want to see the work you are doing so please make sure you are signed up to Seesaw or Class Dojo and use these platforms to engage with teacher.

I hope you all have a safe and healthy week. Take care.

Yours Sincerely,

Niall Bergin

Principal
