Each year our sixth class pupils take part in the Drug Awareness Programme. It is sponsored by the Knights of Columbanus in association with the HSE and the Aislinn Centre. This years programme was a great success. 56 boys took part. Thanks to the programme students have a greater understanding of the drugs that are available, their side effects and the dangers to taking them. It is hoped that this knowledge will help them make the right decision in the future.
After speaking with John Leahy, Brian O’Shea, and completing the programme, the students designed posters which were put on display. We would like to say well done to all those who took part and a big thank you to all who made it possible.
